Nominations for the Jane Norbeck Distinguished Service Award
Help us honor the UCSF School of Nursing’s most accomplished and community-minded alums.
Since 1984, the Nursing Alumni Association has honored its most accomplished members with the Jane Norbeck Distinguished Service Award. Named for former Dean Jane Norbeck (1989–2000), the award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to the nursing profession and have demonstrated service and/or leadership that contributed to the growth and development of the UCSF School of Nursing and/or the profession.
The award is presented annually at Alumni Weekend during the Nursing Alumni Association (NAA) Gala.
Award Criteria
The nominee must be a graduate of the UCSF School of Nursing who has made significant contributions to the nursing profession and/or health care. The nominee will have demonstrated service and/or leadership that contributed to the growth and development of the UCSF School of Nursing and/or the profession through continuous and sustaining support.
Nomination Materials
Nomination letters must provide a description of the candidate's merits. We encourage the inclusion of the nominee’s curriculum vitae or resume, and welcome multiple signatories on the nomination letter.
