Join fellow UCSF retirees for Rosie Fridays!
The Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park celebrates the contributions of women and workers who supported the US during World War II. The museum – where visitors can immerse themselves in exhibits that bring to life the resilience, ingenuity, and sacrifice of those on the home front – highlights the pivotal roles played by "Rosies" in shipyards, factories, and beyond.
A special highlight is the storytelling presentation, in which real-life Rosies or expert interpreters share captivating first-person accounts of the era. Gain insight into the challenges and triumphs of a generation that shaped history through their narratives!
After the storytelling, embark on a self-guided tour of the museum and Richmond’s historical waterfront. Walk through interactive displays, view artifacts, and explore the area's industrial landmarks that connect visitors to the powerful legacy of wartime collaboration and spirit.
