Join fellow UCSF retirees to learn all about coyote behaviors and how to coexist with them.

Janet Kessler is a self-taught naturalist who has spent nearly two decades conducting daily field research documenting urban coyote behavior and their population in San Francisco. With compassion and love for coyotes, Janet identifies them by their faces as each one is different, allowing her to study their family life and map their unique territories in San Francisco without tags or radio collars.

In her presentation, “The Coyote Lady” will share her first-hand findings, which will cover population structure such as distribution and lifecycle; social family life and interactions; dynamics with pets; and more.

UCSF is committed to making its facilities, activities, and events accessible. To request a reasonable accommodation for this event, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
