Timed to coincide with the museum’s current exhibit, “Skin: Living Armor, Evolving Identity,” Dr. Scharschmidt’s talk will focus on topics including how we promote a preferential symbiosis with beneficial skin bacteria, how the timing and location of bacterial exposure shapes the skin’s immune response, and why it’s good for kids to get dirty.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under age 16 and include breakfast, access to all museum exhibits, and discounted holiday shopping in the museum gift shop.
