10 – 11:30 a.m.

Join the UCSF Retirees Association for a docent-led tour of the Mission San Francisco de Asís.

Founded on October 9, 1776, the Mission San Francisco de Asís is a landmark San Francisco building. The settlement was named for St. Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Franciscan Order, but was also commonly known as "Mission Dolores" because of a nearby creek named Arroyo de los Dolores, or "Creek of Sorrows."

After the tour, you'll have the option of joining us at Bi-Rite Creamery for a scoop of their homemade organic ice cream. Bi-Rite is located at the corner of 18th and Dolores at 3692 18th Street.
