Join UCSF retirees to experience the stories of strength, hope, and resiliency at this state park!
Once known as the “Ellis Island of the West,” the Angel Island Immigration Station is located in the heart of San Francisco Bay where approximately 500,000 immigrants were detained between 1910 and 1940. Through a guided tour of poems left behind on walls and more, learn what a chance at a new life was like during a time when exclusionary laws restricted immigration to America.
Registration and cancellation deadline is June 26.
UCSF is committed to making its facilities, activities, and events accessible. To request accommodations for this event, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
