Join the UCSF Emeriti Faculty Association (UCSF EFA) for a virtual talk entitled “Considerations and Practices for Gender-Affirming Care: Exploring affirming language and the basics of medical care for the trans- and gender-expansive community” by guest speaker, Jen Hastings, MD (Jen/Jen), assistant clinical professor in the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine and member of the medical advisory board for the UCSF Center of Excellence for Transgender Health.
Dr. Hastings will present on the current paradigm for understanding gender and the gender spectrum; gender terminology; discrimination and barriers to care; and the basics of hormones, puberty blockers, and surgeries.
