A Message from Chancellor Sam Hawgood

Dear UCSF Alumni,

I am pleased to announce June 2019 as the second annual UCSF Alumni Month. This is an opportunity to celebrate our alumni community and honor their accomplishments, dedication, and generosity.

The generations of students, residents, fellows, and postdocs who trained at UCSF – in dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, and the sciences – continue to shape our institution. As health professionals and leaders across many disciplines, they extend the reach of our mission to their local communities, in the Bay Area and beyond.

Throughout the month of June, join us on social media as we welcome our newest graduates, share alumni stories, and give thanks using the hashtag #UCSFAlumniMonth. We also will highlight the incredible and diverse achievements of our 2019 Campaign Alumni Awardees. The profiles of these 15 recipients showcase the creativity and passion that drive our alumni to engage in meaningful and extraordinary work.

On behalf of the entire UCSF community, I extend my deepest gratitude to the more than 67,000 alumni who, through strong support and advocacy, have helped form the character of the university and who share UCSF’s knowledge and values with the world.
