10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Pacific time
(The class will run 45-50 minutes with time prior and afterwards for discussion and questions.)
Restorative yoga is primarily for the nervous system, showing you ways to switch from “fight or flight” into the “rest and digest” mode. In easy, comfortable positions, supported by props like pillows and blankets, we will focus on our breathing and state of mind, and learn how to deepen our sense of relaxation. Stress in modern life is unavoidable, but how you react to stress is within your control.
For this class via Zoom meeting led by Marcia Degelman, CMT, from the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health, you will need a yoga mat, at least three blankets, a bolster or small pillows, an eye pillow or covering, and a chair to put your feet up on. A carpeted, quiet room is ideal. To get the full benefit, you need to be able to get up and down from the floor, although you can do the class from a chair if you are unable to access the floor.
UCSF is committed to making its facilities, activities, and events accessible. To request accommodations for this event, please contact us at least one week before the event date.
