Laughter Yoga is a complete well-being workout as it combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing techniques (Pranayama), which brings more oxygen to the body and brain, making you feel more energetic and healthy. The phrase “laughter is the best medicine” isn’t too far from the truth in that laughter is contagious and has a powerful and immediate effect on our mind, body, and spirit. We get similar benefits whether it’s spontaneous or simulated laughter; it simply makes you feel better.

This short class involves deep breathing, stretching, clapping, laughter, and simple yoga exercises. Led by Teresa Corrigan, RN, from the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health, and Amy S. Peele, RN, Chopra-certified yoga instructor and former director of clinical operations for the UCSF Transplant Center, you are bound to have a giggle or a guffaw during this virtual program.

UCSF is committed to making its facilities, activities, and events accessible. To request accommodations for this event, please contact us at least one week before the event date.
