Join UCSF for a virtual event highlighting innovative tactics that use artificial intelligence (AI) to create breakthroughs in Alzheimer’s disease research.

Our featured speaker, Michael J. Keiser, PhD ’09, leads an eponymous lab that investigates how drugs affect entire networks of proteins in the body at once to achieve their therapeutic effects via computational predictions paired with experimental testing. The lab likewise develops methods for biomedical image analysis, such as neuropathological slides and high-content drug screening data. Our moderator, Brian Feng, PhD ’07, worked in the lab with Dr. Keiser before joining Calico Labs as a principal investigator. They will discuss the interaction between computational science and health care and how it is leading to breakthrough innovations for diseases that impact health globally.

UCSF is committed to making its facilities, activities, and events accessible. To request accommodations for this event, please contact us at least one week before the event date.
